The NaSa UK community gathered on January 3, 2026, to celebrate Pillayar Nonbu 2025 at Calf Heath Village Hall, Wolverhampton. With around 150 attendees, the celebration was spiritually uplifting, culturally meaningful, and beautifully organised — truly reflecting the unity of our community.
🤝 Warm Welcome & Community Gathering
Guests arrived to a warm welcome, accompanied by tea, coffee, biscuits, pastries, and samosas, which created a friendly and lively atmosphere.
A dedicated children’s corner in a separate annexe provided toys and colouring materials, ensuring the younger members remained happily engaged throughout the event.
📊 AGM: President’s Speech, Annual Reports & New Office Bearers
The AGM session commenced with an address by the President, who opened the meeting with words of gratitude, reflections on the year’s progress, and encouragement to continue upholding NaSa UK’s cultural and charitable values.
Following the President’s speech, the Secretary, Treasurer, and Charity Lead delivered their respective annual reports, outlining organisational achievements, financial updates, and the charity work carried out across the year.
After the reports, the newly elected office bearers were formally introduced. The announcement of the new President was warmly received, with applause and wholehearted support from the community.
Pillayar Prayers, Kadavul Vazhthu & Rituals
The spiritual segment began with traditional Pillayar prayers. 🙏
At the start of the prayers, the NaSa UK Junior members (children) beautifully sang the Kadavul Vazhthu, adding grace, devotion, and a warm emotional touch to the gathering.
Attendees then received ellais respectfully from senior Annans, honouring a cherished cultural tradition.
The Yellam was successfully conducted by the Yellam Coordinators, with enthusiastic participation from members. All funds raised through Yellam and donations were dedicated to the NaSa UK charity, supporting its education assistance and marriage assistance programmes.
🍽️ Dinner & Chettinad Delicacies
The event concluded with a delicious buffet dinner arranged by Aachis, offering a variety of authentic Chettinad palagarams. The meal was thoroughly enjoyed by all attendees.
🎉 Conclusion
Pillayar Nonbu 2025 was a resounding success — well attended, well-coordinated, spiritually meaningful, and filled with community warmth.
NaSa UK extends heartfelt thanks to all volunteers, office bearers, attendees, and especially the Junior members who made the celebration special.
