4th Annual Nagarathar Virunthu 2013

Dear Nagarathars We are delighted to confirm dates for the 4th Annual Nagarathar Virunthu on Sunday 25th August 2013. The spectacular events begin with the first ever Nagarathar Ball at 6pm on Sunday 25th August 2013 at Colwick Hall. The theme is 'Celebrity' - dress to impress. We will begin with cocktails and canapes, followed by a grand South Indian dinner and dance. On Monday 26th August following breakfast, we have a whole host of programmes lined up for the entire day to entertain all ages including lunch in the Ballroom and tea on the terrace. More to follow soon. Re-energising with a hearty home made pallaharam, then galatta galore, and our well established Banana Leaf Lunch, followed by more programmes. The event finishes with afternoon tiffin and coffee at 4.30pm Please rsvp by 21st July with names and numbers to confirm your attendance. In the meantime, please also make your necessary accommodation requirements for the night of Sunday 25th August. Attached is literature on bedrooms agreed at the nearby Jury's Inn. Rooms are £50 and most can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child (or 2 small children). Interconnecting rooms are also available. All rooms for Nagarathars are allocated as i-rooms on the upper floors and are more spacious with skyline view. Nagarathar Virunthu 2011 - Thanks

The Nagarathar Virunthu 2011 was held on 28th and 29th August 2011. A great time was had by all the attendees and we would like to thank our kind hosts for all their efforts in making the event so great.

Nagarathar Virunthu 2011 - Update

Dear Nagarathars,

The Nagarathar Virunthu 2011 will start at 10am on Sunday 28th August with a variety of events hosted at Peacock Hotel, Grand Hotel and Raffles in Kenilworth. The function will continue through to Monday 29th August when there will be external activities planned with breakfast and lunch on offer on the Bank Holiday Monday. The event will finish for 5pm on Monday.

August Bank Holiday

Dear Nagarathars,

In late June 2010, Mr Muthalagappan and his family invited sangam members to spend a day during the August 2010 bank holiday with them at their hotel in Nottingham. This event took place on August 29th and was a great success.

August Bank Holiday 2010

Dear Nagarathars,

In late June 2010, Mr Muthalagappan and his family invited sangam members to spend a day during the August 2010 bank holiday with them at their hotel in Nottingham. This event took place on August 29th and was a great success.

The venue was their hotel, Colwick Hall Hotel, on Racecourse Road, in Nottingham. Both the venue and the lunch was sponsored by Mr Muthalagappan and his family.

As an interesting addition, the Gents were asked to wear veshti's and the Ladies wear sari's.
